Romanian Texts with Latin Letters and Hungarian Spelling
(16th-18th Centuries)

Abstract:
The author discusses in the present paper those texts which owe their existence to the religious Reform of the 16th century (song books, prayer books: Agyagfalvi, Viski, Istvánházi, “Fogarasi catechism”, “Todorescu fragment”). A special focus will be given to their characteristics, spreading area and the context of their disappearance over the 18th century.
