Abstract:
The members of Generation Z, considered as digital natives, have become eligible voters in the recent years. Being exposed early in their lives to Internet and becoming heavy social media users, it is important to understand how they use it. This paper examines the strong relation that forms between the first- time voters, social networks and political behavior. We examine the way the young people political interest is influenced by social networks as well as how they use social networks for acquiring political information.
