| THE ARTIST-MANAGER- BETWEEN MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP IN ROMANIAN CULTURAL SECTORIvona Maria Tătar-VîstrașAbstract:This presentation tries to underline the essential trademarks of theRomanian theatre managers in the post-communist era. The junction and interrelationship between the artistic prestige of and his position as manager define the daily management practices of the state or private funded theaters, and draw serious limitations with regard to the use of available resources. The need to question these aspects of the cultural sector is of great importance today, mostly because cultural entrepreneurship is becoming a loud agency of urban re-vitalization and sustainable development. Through the interviews we conducted wehope to call attention to the specification of the Romanian theatrical environment, their implications in the overall cultural sector, but also to better understand the executive climate in which the theatre productions take place. Keywords:cultural management, post-communist theatre, Romanian theatre, cultural entrepreneurship |
