| The Elite of the Romanian National Party (1919-1926)Alexandru NICOLAESCUAbstract:The present research analysis the organizational evolution and socio-professional composition of the internal elite of the Romanian National Party in the period 1919-1926. We have focused on the structure of the party’s Executive Committee, because this was the representative body of the party, which included the most important leaders. The fusions between the most representative party from Transylvania and the other political parties from the Old Kingdom of Romania were also mentioned, as they have led to changes in the leading structures. We have tried to highlight to what extent the internal socio-professional structure was similar to the parliamentary elite of the party, and whether it was within the parameters of the parties in the interwar period. Keywords:Romanian National Party, Transylvania, elite, interwar period, Iuliu Maniu |
