PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION TN THE CITY OF CLUJ
AFTER WORLD WAR II

Abstract:

This paper deals with the issue of local Public Administration in the city of Cluj, during the first postwar year (1945); more specifically, it focuses on decisions of the Mayor’s Office in Cluj. The research is based on original, unpublished documents, found in local Archives. The study presents both general and special issues, like housing problems, reconstruction of damaged infrastructure and food supplies or supporting Artists or Sports events. The approach is realized from an institutional point of view.
